Social and emotional intelligence is the ability to be aware of our own emotions and those of others, in the moment, and to use that information to manage ourselves and manage our relationships. EQ is a measure of emotional intelligence. We will discuss the Four Quadrant model; the twenty-six competencies involved; various profiles; behaviors that can be changed; and how this can be used in the workplace. Linda will give samples and examples of people who possess particular competences, those who lack it, and development tips how to improve the competence. Linda will discuss major US Corporations (most in our area) that utilize EQ in their workplaces and have tremendous ROI to validate their commitment!
