If you have registered for a previous WNO meeting, when you register this time, you can fill in fields where the information has not changed with "Same"! My first-grade teacher once told me that change is the only constant in life. That’s certainly true for my journey, in which I spent the better part of my life working tirelessly to discover change for the better. You can see evidence of that for yourself in my published books. As we go through career transitions, or the changes when a business is reinvented, it is critical to reevaluate and redefine our values, our mission, and the steps to reskill, reevaluate, and reinvent! This is an ever-changing process. In the volatile world we live in today, we need to readjust, making short- and long-term career goals, while planning how we will achieve them. In this process, not everyone is at the same speed and level of awareness - therefore we react and approach it differently. Many of us see that as a threat, and we do everything we can to avoid it. My focus is on our response to chronic interpersonal stressors on the job - and especially during career change as transitioning professionals. What I'd love to share with you are powerful tools and tips to break the cycle of constant tension that exists for survivors, reinventing and achieving your career goals without stress and burden. As you may know, deep emotional stress, anger, and resentment can seriously damage your health. I realized that all the heart problems and high blood pressure problems are often the result of the emotional pain that we call stress! When the stressors on our brain are continuously triggered, neurons in our brain fire together on the same patterns; they wire together and our well being declines. We know that the weather changes, the seasons change, our bodies change over time. Everything is on the move. Why not accept career change and embrace it as a way that business is done today!
