New Networking Events

The networking events list has been refreshed and now includes networking events in March. These events

What a wonderful turn out at our 2017 kick-off meeting at the Greenburgh Public Library! Thank you for being part of something special.

And a special thanks to our speaker, Celia Currin, for her words of wisdom on staying positive, and managing energy and attitudes during a job search. (Visit the WNO Yahoo Group to download her slides.)

Our next meeting is set for Monday, March 20, when Ron Katz, owner and principal of PenguinHR, will present: "Your Skills Won't Get You Hired" at the Theodore D. Young Community Center. If you've signed up on our mailing list, look for an Eventbrite invitation by mid-March.

What's New for February 2017?

You might have noticed we've got a new look. Why? With our membership in mind, we made improvements throughout our site. Here's a list of what's new for you:

We took our traditional design--planting a seedling--and updated the look and feel to reflect our commitment to keeping our information fresh and current so that you grow in your career.
We implemented a new website theme to take advantage of new technology, which means you can now read our site on your phone and iPad.
We added a blog so that you can join the conversation and make comments.
We reconfigured three old pages called "Networking Best Practices," "Tips," and "Other" into two focused pages: "Best Practices & Tips," and "Resources" so that you can find information with greater ease.
We recognized that many and varied networking events are scheduled throughout the tristate area. We added links to more event sources on the "Networking Events" page so that you won't miss any opportunity to make connections.

With all these changes, be assured that some things stay the same:

We continue to sustain our WNO Yahoo and LinkedIn Groups.
We continue to offer monthly networking meetings with terrific speakers on the latest job search topics at no cost to you.
We continue to welcome your feedback and suggestions.
