While most of us know about franchising, very few actually really know it. What’s the difference between opening your own business and staring a franchise? And is it an alternative to continually looking for a job? Franchising is not for everybody, but it is something that everybody in transition should think about. We will focus on finding the right fit, the risks involved in starting your own business, how much money you need to invest and where you will get the money. You will also learn about your commitment to the franchise and the franchise’s commitment to you. This is designed to be thought-provoking, informative and comforting as we explore good realistic alternatives in our search for brighter days in our career and life journey. Carl Grossman spent most of his career as a Turnaround CEO steering companies through a full spectrum of corporate challenges. When he retired from doing active turnarounds, he became engaged in Franchise Consulting and is affiliated with the Business Alliance (BAI) in Tacoma, WA, one of the industry’s most respected group of industry professionals. He also owns a “1-800 Water Damage” franchise serving the New York Metro market including Fairfield & Litchfield Counties in CT and NY’s Westchester, Putnam & Dutchess Counties. He is married with 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren. While most of his life has been spent in Westchester County, he now resides in New Fairfield CT. He has an MBA from Columbia University with a concentration in Finance and has devoted considerable time to charitable endeavors. Carl has served on numerous Boards in the profit and not-for-profit sectors. Register today!
